What is the Big Serve? The Big Serve is an awesome opportunity for boys and girls to experience missions first hand.  Our desire is to provide a place for KidVenture kids to POWER UP and experience what it’s like to live a spirit-filled life. What will I do at the Big Serve? Each day will be designed around these three areas: Look in:   We will meet as a group for an interactive devotional time to kick start our day.  Each student will receive a journal that they will use every day. Look out:  This is when we impact the community through work projects and outreaches.  We have designed age-appropriate service projects which will include:

  • Community clean-up
  • Ministering to seniors
  • Feeding the homeless
  • And more!

Look Up:   This is how we will end each day.  We will meet as a group for a time to debrief and reflect on the events of the day while giving the glory to God. When is it?

Monday through Friday, June 10-14 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  We will culminate our experience with an over-nighter on Thursday Night.

Any child going into 3rd through 5th grade in Fall 2019 and who is committed to spending every day in service.  We will have fun; however, behavior requirements are strict.  All students and their parents will be required to sign POWER UP Covenant for our time together. Any student not meeting the expectations of that covenant will not be allowed to participate.   Parents may participate with their children each day, or even just for one day, however we ask that other arrangements be made for younger siblings. What do I bring and not bring? Bring:  Work clothes; work gloves; sturdy shoes, like sneakers; a Bible; a servant’s heart; a packed lunch; a refillable water bottle and sunscreen.  Please put your name on all items each day. Don’t bring:  Phones, iPods, or any electronics! Is there a cost? Yes, $60.00 for the first child in a family; $55.00 for the 2nd, 3rd, etc.  This will cover the cost of a t-shirt and supplies for the week. A limited number of partial scholarships available upon request. What do I do to participate? Complete the registration/release form with the fee and submit to the office, the Ranger Station or the Resource Center by May 26th!
